Extractions

What are dental extractions?

It is a procedure that consists in the extraction of the dental piece that for various reasons has not been able to be rehabilitated by means of conservative treatments.

Among those reasons we have:

  • Teeth fractured either by accidents or teeth weakened by eating habits.
  • Dental mobility that produces pain and discomfort.
  • Third molars that cause pain and inflammation.
  • Dental pieces that must be extracted due to orthodontic considerations.

After dental extractions

Dental extractions are daily dental procedures but we should not neglect post-extraction care:

  • Take analgesics and / or antibiotics if indicated by the professional.
  • Do not rinse vigorously so as not to remove the clot in formation.
  • Apply ice on the outside of the face to minimize inflammation.
  • Follow the instructions of the professional in relation to food.
